Live. Name this note.

Ten notes, timed. Tap a letter, press it on your keyboard, say it, or play it.

How it works

Five ways to answer. One drill.

The question never changes: which note is this? The answer can come from whatever is closest to hand. All five are on every drill screen, one tap apart, and a kid can switch mid-level.

  1. Tap

Seven big letter buttons. Works on a phone, a tablet, a Chromebook.

  2. Keys

Press A to G on any keyboard. The fastest way once the letters are under the fingers.

  3. Voice

Say it out loud. Eyes stay on the staff, which is the point.

  4. MIDI keyboard

Play it on a keyboard plugged in. The note has to be the right one, not just the right letter.

  5. Real piano

Play it on any piano near the microphone. A note it could not hear is never counted as wrong.

The course

26 short levels, in the order that works.

Lines first, then spaces, then both. Then the notes just outside the staff, then ledger lines. Treble, then bass, then both mixed together, then sharps and flats. Last, the landmark notes and longer runs out to three ledger lines. A level takes a minute or two. Pass one at 95%; answer faster for more stars.

For grown-ups

It knows which notes are slow.

Every answer is timed. The notes a kid hesitates on come up more often until they stop being slow. A heat map on the staff shows a parent exactly where the gaps are, and a practice log shows what got done, day by day.

One account for the family, a profile for each kid, nothing to install. It runs in the browser on whatever is nearby.

No ads. Nothing sold. A child never needs an email, a photo or a birthday.
